Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry-The Roleplay

It was 30 minutes to 4 so Professor Baudelaire decided to walk to the field. A few students were walking in that direction. When Professor Baudelaire got there she made sure Argus Fitch had followed her instructions. She checked the edge of the stands and sure enough there was everything she has requested. She smirked, today's lesson better go well or the students would regret it. She walked towards the rest of the professors who were beginning to arrive. Together they started removing brooms from the closets so the students that didn't have any could borrow them. They laid them down near the entrance of the pitch as more students started arriving. They were considerably quieter than the other day. They all filed into the stands and sat at their seats.

Raban took his Comet 360 to the Ravenclaw Quidditch stands for the second time in as many days, this time with substantially less enthusiasm. Certainly, it would be nice to fly, but he'd resigned himself to another day of standing in formation. At least he had some good books to read while waiting today.

He took a seat, set his broom carefully next to him, and pulled out Quidditch Through the Ages for a re-read.

I glanced at the clock, seeing that it was almost 4. I walked into my dorm, grabbing my broom. I headed towards the field, observing other people starting to walk there too. I walked into the huge field, and headed towards the stands, and sat on a seat next to one of my friends. I sat and waited for Professor Baudelaire to get us started. She had a smug look on her face. I had a feeling something was in store for us.

"Yeah it is, I hoping to get some of my flying skills back so I can practice for qudditch. That's not happening soon anyways, I have to wait till qudditch season starts again. It's going to be a while..."

I sighed, what if I fell off my broom today? How embarrassing...Wait I already know how to fly, i thought. I'm so silly. Qudditch practice was starting soon, I could feel it in my veins.

"I'll see you later okay? Qudditch here I come!"

I stalked off into the field where everyone was sitting, how lame.

So this qudditch day was more organized, I mean I must admit...It's better to be organized than chaos. But order is always so boring, chaos is fun now and then..Back to reality.. My stomach belched, I ate too much cake and drank too much pumpkin juice. Darn, those house elves make everything so fattening..I guess why it must taste so good! Everyone was sitting and sectioned into their houses..I saw the changing room again and headed over there to change. Then I just remembered I forgot my firebolt in my trunk! Could I summon it? I'll ask a teacher.

OOC: Lol Molly, I love how Raban is upset because of everything that is happening...

[OOC: Well, last time all he did was stand around waiting for further instruction while the others got into fights or flew against orders, then get sent back to the castle once the troublemakers were stopped. Pretty boring, really. So he's not going to have the highest opinion of the lesson plan today.]

Professor Baudelaire looked up at the stands. The teachers were all behind her awaiting further instructions. "Welcome students, I trust there will be no disruptions during today's practice. However if there are Mr. Argus Filch has prepared a lovely selection of grimy, filthy buckets and some sponges so anyone who does not follow instructions can clean the stands by hand, no magic. I hope you troublemakers have a good arm because there is plenty of Drooble's Hard-Sticking Gum attached to the floors and seats. Oh, and did I mention you won't be able to go to bed until they are clean? Yes, so I hope you all behave. Now we will begin by getting you all in your correct positions. If you can't remember where you go ask a teacher in your house, they all have copies. You can begin!" Immediately the students started filing down the stands almost causing a stampede to get onto the field.

Raban returned to his prior position on the field, broom at the ready. He made a mental note to use a cleaning charm on his seat the next time he went to the stands -- if they were using dirty buckets to begin with, the stands wouldn't be getting very clean.

Professor Baudelaire allowed us to fill onto the fields. Her little punishment explained the smirk admiring her face. I grabbed my broom and walked along the misshapen line, just walking behind others. There was some pushing and screaming, but we finally all made it onto the field. I walked to my position, behind a girl who smelled like cheese. I stood and waited for further instructions.

Professor Baudelaire looked around, she was looking for a few students who she had noticed worked diligently during class. She picked a boy and a girl. Raban Wallace and Brigit Stace. She asked them to help her. They walked to the front of the house line-up where the Ravenclaw prefects were. "I need two students to help create blue sparks behind the Ravenclaw banner as we do our procession. Would you two like to have this job? And do you think you could do it? You would have to fly with one hand only." She waited for their response as other teachers around her also picked two students to do similar jobs. Brigit Stace nodded eagerly.

Raban cheered up somewhat as he moved toward the front. Finally, they were doing something!

He nodded in response to the professor's question. "I'd need to fly with one hand if I were a chaser, anyway. It can't be too difficult." He muttered the appropriate spell quietly, and a small burst of blue sparks -- bronze flashing, occasionally -- shot out.

Professor Baudelaire smiled as Raban produced a good amount of blue -and even some bronze- sparks! "That's perfect Raban, can you do the same Brigit?" she asked. Brigit waved her wand and muttered something inaudible. She managed to produce a few purple sparks but they weren't the necessary blue color. "Raban do you think you could help her while I try to organize everyone else?"

Raban nodded and turned to Brigit. "I found it in Simple Spells Every Ravenclaw Should Know -- a useful book, but I think it had been misshelved in the library when I came across it; no one else seems to have heard of it. Anyway, this one's dead easy -- you can adjust the length of the burst by altering your wrist movement . . ." He proceeded to demonstrate and teach Brigit the proper incantation.

I walked to the Quiditch field and got in position. This time I was ready to not break rules.

Professor Baudelaire smiled as she walked away from Raban who was eagerly teaching a patient Brigit the spell. Professor Baudelaire then walked over to the Ravenclaw Prefects who were standing behind a bronze pole over some thick blue material.
"Is it too heavy?" Professor Baudelaire asked.
"No," they replied as they easily picked it up. "We put a charm on it so it hardly ways an ounce."
"Good!" replied Professor Baudelaire. "And you are ok with flying with only one hand right?"
They both nodded so Professor Baudelaire proceeded to attend to all the other students. She asked everyone who had trouble with flying. They raised their hands and Quidditch team members ran over to them to scribble down their names so they could help them later.
"For now we will not to any long-distance flying. We will only practice kicking off and landing." She got onto her broom, then she flew to the front of all the students so everyone could see her.
"Please mount your brooms!" she said in her amplified voice.
Everyone did but there was plenty of scuffling because they weren't prepared. "Everyone must kick off in a slight forward direction so no one crashes into each." other she said. "Only go up about 10 feet, then stay in that position. Ready? Begin!"

I went on the field and looked around. I didn't want to look like a fool. Then I heard a loud voice, it was the professor again... She was letting us mount our brooms. I've been waiting for this all day! This felt really great, I couldn't believe it. I thought she was going to lecture us all day.. and on...and on...

Stop thinking, I thought and get on the broom.

I jumped and got my broom. And away I went, ZOOOM. I went flying super high and came back super low. I touched the grass while zooming across the field, I was about to hit the bleachers..But I rose up and dodged it, and hit the air instead. This was an delight! I hope no one saw me, I mean I was a qudditch player. I could just say I was practicing, I was practicing my high and low flies. Time for work, I thought...

I looked around for anyone needing help on their broomsticks..

"Muffin!" screamed Professor Baudelaire. "Please report to the front of the field!" Professor Baudelaire waited until the student got there. She couldn't believe it, even after all the warnings and specific instructions there were still students breaking rules. All the students stared as Professor Baudelaire waited on her broom levitating with the other students only about 10 feet of the ground like she had told them. Somebody was going to be cleaning the stands, and that wasn't going to be fun...

I raised my hand up high and said, " Proffesor, may I create sparks for the Griffindor?"

When the time came, Raban told Brigit to meet him later to practice -- she had the spell down, but it would still be good to work on doing it while in flight -- and returned to his place among the second-years. He kicked off, rose to ten feet in the air, and hovered in formation with the others.

I rushed over to the other Gryffindors and took down the names of the students to watch out for. The ones who were unsure about being able to fly. I gave the list to Professor Baudelaire and looked at those students again. I had to make sure to watch them. I listened as Professor Baudelaire allowed us to fly, only 10 feet. I rushed to my position and mounted my broom, rising with ease. I looked around at the students. Some seemed to be struggling with balance, but otherwise it was pretty much okay. I wasn't sure if I was allowed to help others, and I didn't wanna risk getting in trouble with her again. I raised my hand and waited until she came over.

Professor Baudelaire saw Alecia in the air raising her hand. She quickly flew over. "Yes Alecia? What do you need?" she asked patiently.

OOC : I think you missed Cyrus, she asked a question too.

BIC : Professor Baudelaire came over, asking me what my question was. " Professor, I just wanted to know if Quidditch players are supposed to be helping out or not. The last time I got in trouble, so I just wanted to make sure, " I asked.

I kept my hand held high. I assumed she didn't see me.

Professor yelled at a girl named Muffin...What a silly name. What kind of person has a name called Muffin?
