Every week I will add a word or term commonly used in music. This will teach those who cannot read sheet music something new and we can all share our knowledge.



Dal Capo al Coda

Music Terminology of the Week #5 100px-Music-coda

-abbriviated to D.C. al Coda
-means "from the beginning, to the tail"
-tells you to go back to the beginning and repeat until you reach the coda symbol
-coda symbol usually signafies the end is near

Thanks! I one of our songs in choir, we have a really confusing Al Coda! LOL And we also have one in Band. I get through most of the song, and then have to start all over again! LOL
