Music Terminology of the Week #1
Every week I will add a word or term commonly used in music. This will teach those who cannot read sheet music something new and we can all share our knowledge.
For Week 1, we will start off with something basic.
The Quarter Note
-worth one beat
-four quarter notes is equal to one whole note
-derived from the word crochet
-stem can be facing upward or downward

I'm glad you guys all know about it. I'm just starting nice and easy in the beginning for those who don't know much about music.
