Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
I walked around, hoping to get a glimpse of something. I froze when I heard footsteps and quickly got my camera ready. I saw a few bushes move and took a picture, slightly startling myself when I heard the loud sound it made in complete silence. Unfortunately, it turned out to be another girl. I sighed with slight disappointment and answered her, " Uh, just a camera. I'm Louise," I didn't want to tell her anything, since she was also out in the forest in the middle of the night. I had my reasons, but what were hers?

" Oh cool. So, you like photography?" I said. She's problably wondering why I'm out in the woods in the middle of the night. I sensed her heart rate getting fasted and faster. " I'm just taking a stroll." I said.

"Yeah," I replied, shuffling my feet, "that's cool," I said, wanting to leave. I got a weird feeling from her. Uh, "See you later, bye," I said, quickly, leaving and trying to find the path I had come from.

As she walked away I heard a loud howl from the distance. " Yeah I gotta go too I said running towards the cabin. It's almost morning and Tara is problably changing back.

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
The wolf woke from a light doze and batted away the scraps of bone she'd cleaned of marrow. She felt the moon's power fading, and the shift returned. Her body stretched and squished and after a moment of body parts painfully rearranging themselves, Tara stood in the room. She quickly went through a series of stretches to reorient herself, then retrieved her clothes from the strongbox to get dressed.
She grabbed her pack and unlocked the door, making a mental note to leave a water bowl out next month -- she was really thirsty. The other door standing open caught her eye, and she stepped into Ari's room. She took in the broken handcuffs, the window smashed outward, and began to consider the potential horrific implications.
"Drat."

I walked into my room and saw Tara examining my room. " Oh that. Dont worry, I didn't hunt, but I got out and almost got caught by hunters. They have traps in the woods now. I changed back when they saw me and they let me out. Also, theres a human girl running around the woods at night with a camera. I ran into her and I think she suspects something." I said.

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
Tara stares at Ari incredulously. "Hunters are setting traps in the immediate area of our safe house, unaffiliated humans are wandering the woods in the middle of the night, you broke a window, and you're telling me not to worry? At least the hunters are complete idiots. Why would they let you out of a trap?"
She waved a hand at the broken glass. "And I told you when we revamped this place that you should've spent the extra on reinforced glass like I did. My wolf hasn't broken out once since we started staying here."

" Sorry, I just couldn't control myself." I smirked. " We should go looking or their traps right now so we can be aware of them for the future." I said.

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
Tara glared at Ari. She was getting angry. "It's not a matter of being able to control yourself. It's a matter of being prepared for when you can't. You'll spend your money on cheap handcuffs, but you won't invest in a window that can take your weight. What if the hunter hadn't let you go? What if the girl had taken pictures of you shifting? You need to think about these things."
She shook her head. "You know what? We stay here legally. No one would question a couple of girls who like to spend a night out in the woods, get away to study and unwind. Those hunters probably don't have permits. Once we get the window repaired so we don't look suspicious, I'm going to call the cops and report them for illegal trapping on private property."

I glanced at her angrily. My eyes glowed red. " I wasn't shifted when I saw her. I confronted her and asked her what she was doing." I yelled. As I ran out the door and kept running through the woods another trip wire was hidden and I tripped it. this time a rope attached to my foot and I was hung upside down. I was so mad I made my claws come out and cut the rope and ran again.

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
Tara takes a deep breath. Calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean. "I didn't say you were. I simply pointed it out as a possibility. It's not exactly a comforting thing to have someone with a camera randomly wandering around the woods on a full moon. If she caught you shifted, photos could be the least of our worries."
She watches Ari take off with something akin to resignation. She'd need to clean up the glass later, but it was Monday and there was school. Carefully watching where she stepped, Tara headed home. A quick shower and change of clothes before school was needed; everyone looks at you weird if you smell like the woods and look like you've slept in your clothes.

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
I ran back home and locked myself in my room. There was school and I was late. I showered and put on fresh clothes and headed for school. I saw Tara enter the building and put on a little anger. Think of other things. Maybe I could find that girl with the camera and find out the REAL reason she was lurking around the woods at midnight with a camera. I entered first period and took the only seat left. Next to Tara...

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
Tara did her best to focus on class all day, but kept mentally reviewing her list of what she'd need to do later. First her after-school job at the used bookstore, then to the cabin to clean up the glass, call a discrete repair guy -- she hoped Ari would pay her back, she was paying for the reinforced glass either way -- and take her camera out to document the traps for when she reported those foolish hunters to the cops.
Werewolf hunters stupid enough to use rope that a single swipe of the claws could sever were hardly a threat, but better safe than sorry.

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
I went to Tara after class. " Look, I'm sorry about earlier. I was being irrisponsible. I have a plan though." I said handing her the check for money to buy windows. " I problably owe you some more and I will get that to you. I plan to track down that girl with the camera next full moon. She's bound to do that again." I paused. " Catch you later, I'm gonna go look for traps and get evidence for the police report."

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
[OOC: Wait, what? You can't install windows that easily. It's a messy, expensive, and complicated process, involves heavy lifting (even with increased strength, it's hard to maneuver a window on your own) and replacing all the windows in the building is something that would take professionals several days of work. Not to mention it doesn't make sense that they'd just have spare ones around -- they tend to be a tad pricey, for one thing. For another, they're bulky, and I can't see how you could fit several in a drawer. Especially with chains -- seriously, you don't want metal clinking around with glass.
Actually, why would they have chains on hand that weren't installed? You'd think they'd be put in place as soon as they'd gotten them. Seems more logical that Ari would need to put in a shopping trip for most of this (and the costs would add up to more than a high schooler could easily pay).
Also, it doesn't make sense to replace Tara's window -- it's perfectly sturdy, and she picked one with security bars to help keep the wolf in and hunters out. The lock doesn't really make sense, either -- pretty much any lock requires human hands, being as wolves lack opposable thumbs and lock-picking skills, so logically the locks they have in place would have the same effect.
Why did she get Tara the bowl? Tara only thought about getting one, and unless Ari's gained mind-reading powers, she'd have no way of knowing about that.
Please, try to think through how complicated something would be before simply dismissing it as a thing a character could accomplish in an afternoon. I'm going to ignore your previous comment because it honestly doesn't make any sense. Think things through and rewrite.]
Tara hummed quietly to herself as she stacked the shelves. She loved her job -- being surrounded by the smell of books. While some customers could be annoying they tended to be quiet, as if they were in a library, and only the low music playing in the background could be heard. She pulled a battered paperback from the stack and grinned at it -- 'Women Who Run with the Wolves'. It looked like she'd be putting her employee discount to use today.

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
Tara stopped Ari in the hall. "Wait, I should go with you. It's probably not a good idea to check out the traps alone -- better to have backup in case we miss something and get snagged. I need to head to work first, but I get off at 5; it'll still be a few hours to sunset, this time of year, so we'll have plenty of time to gather evidence."
She considered the other aspect a moment. "Do you think you'd recognize the girl with the camera if you saw her again? It'd be better to stop her soon, in the daylight, rather than trusting you to keep your head in the moonlight. It is pretty tricky to keep controlled that time of the month."

" Ok, maybe she'll be out tonight. I'll come get you at five." I said. " See you later." I ran back home and changed into jeans and a hoodie, in case we have to get dirty. By then it was five so I go and get Tara. We go into the woods and search for traps......

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
Dressing quickly in a dark jacket and jeans after work, Tara made her way to the woods. Camera on hand and flashlight in her bag in case they lost track of time, she moved slowly and waved a stick in front of her as she walked just to be sure not to step on any tripwires.

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
[OOC: Uh, deciding that my character didn't see the tripwire and got caught in the net is powerplaying and against the rules. I'm going to ignore that, because my character is not blind.]
Tara spotted a cord running between two trees and stopped. "Found one!" She pulled out her camera and took a few pictures from different angles, then poked at the leaves in front of it until she uncovered part of a net. Documenting this, she moved to a safe distance before poking the tripwire with the stick. The net sprang up harmlessly, holding nothing but a few of the cover leaves. A few more shots, and it was fully documented.
Then movement to the side caught Tara's attention. Less than 100 feet away, a fox was hanging in another net and desperately trying to get out. "These fools aren't going to leave any evidence that they're not trying to catch normal animals. They'll all be in a load of trouble with the police. We play our cards right, we can even get animal rights groups going after them."
Tara carefully made her way to where the fox was strung up, documented the scene thoroughly, then used a serrated knife from her bag to cut the fox down. The terrified animal quickly scrambled out of the net and bolted into the woods.

[OOC: I'm sorry, I didn't know that was powerplaying, and am I will just meet up with you in the woods since I don't think I'm really with you]
I walked with a camera in the woods moving quietly and stealthy. Watching out for any tripwires. I had already took a few pictures and this was problably my last one I needed to take. I was walking though the woods to the police station, when I saw night had already fallen. I shrugged it off and continued to the police station. I handed them the camera and told them about the hunters but I said they were hunting bears illegaly. Afterwards I left and was going to run home but, felt called to the woods. I ran to the woods instead and ran around, I felt like I was changing. But it didn't feel like it at the same time. I suddenly fell to the ground unconsious..............

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
Once she felt she'd documented the scene thoroughly, Tara returned to the cabin and cleaned up the broken handcuffs and the worst of the glass, making sure there weren't any bits of blood or hair clinging to the shards in the window. Telling the contractor that vandals had broken the window would raise the fewest questions, but only if it was clean enough they wouldn't notice the window had clearly broken outward.
Finally satisfied that it would do for her cover story, she arrived at the police station just before sunset. She handed over her data card for evidence, and mentioned that a window on her cabin had been broken -- she inwardly cheered as a vandalism charge was added to the case against the hunters.
After the nice officers said she could leave, Tara headed home and crawled into bed. It had been a long day, and she hadn't technically slept the night before. She was asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

Re: Teen Wolf roleplay!
Morning arose and I woke up in the wood floor. My back ached and I was freezing. What happened? Anyways, today is still a school day and I needed to get there. I ran home and took a shower and got ready. I needed to tell Tara about this. I walked to school and took a seat. I looked like a wreck, the shower still didn't wipe away the tired look from my face and I wanted to go to my bed at HOME not in the woods......
