Pet Shop Roleplay

'I looked over at Happy..."
Then I started biting my ear so then I ran up to Happy and said "Me want milk cause me hungwy!" I went to go inside of my pet house and wasn't happy I didn't have my food in three day,cause it was lost.I wanted it so badly that I ran into the forest to look for some food!

Honey stared at the chaos and how Happy didn't want to be sold. "You can't be serious." she said quietly.

I decided it was time for a quick nap, however i could hear the new lab puppy whining about a lack of food. I opened one eye and inspected her. "If i tell you a story will you quieten down?" I asked.

Happy grunted at honey and retreated to the space under his log.

"This will be cleaned by tomorrow," he said, "it's not a big deal." And he went to sleep.

Happy pondered over the day's incident. "Should I want to be sold?" he asked himself, in a hushed tone, thinking aloud. He glanced over the wreckage of overturned boxes and empty cages on the floor, still needing to be taken care of.

"I like it here," he thought, "and I'm afraid of learning to like somewhere else."

I watched Happy, concerned. He looked upset. I contemplated talking to him, to see if he was ok, but I thought maybe I should let him rest on it... Who am I kidding? I may be old, but i'm also incredibly young at heart, meaning i can be a little curious I whispered to him through the ventilation holes in the glass. "Happy? Are you ok?"

Happy shrugged. "I'm okay as I'll ever be."

He looked at the bedding in his cage. "Would you...be afraid, if you thought you had to leave here?"

Krystal put her fin in someone else's business as usual.
"Well, Happy... I don't think anyone will want you after that incident" Krystal said fast and perky.
She swam around her tank and then started singing something she got from a movie " JUST KEEP SWIMMING! JUST KEEP SWI-" She was then stopped..

I shook my head at Krystal. "I would hate to leave my owner and my friends! But I've had many adventures in my lifetime!" I paused. "I remember when I was a few months old and my momma said 'Sally, don't let fear stand in your way!' She was right. You should take that! Risks are good for us oldies!" I said, with a laugh.

Krystal nodded... Krystal than began to speak "Me either! I love my friends! Plus I don't wanna get... FLUSHED!" Krystal than hid behind the fake coral reef in her tank, shivering. "FLUSHED I SAY! FLUSHED!!"

"I'm too old for some excitement like that," Happy said. "New owners...like to play with their pets. I'd get too worn out."

He looked at his tired, wrinkly skin. "You know, my skin doesn't just look this way because I'm a reptile. It used to be so much more taut."

I chuckled. "I've been like this for as long as I can remember!" I said with a smile. Happy was a fraction of my age, but inside, we were of equal maturity. "Children do like to play with their pets, which is why a lot of lizards who I've met over the years have been bought by older children, usually older teenagers with a fascination for exotic creatures. I daren't think what has happened to some of them. Teenage humans can be incredibly... careless!" I shook my head. Not all of them of course! My teenage humans have always taken care of me. I shuffled over to the glass. "Would you like to hear a story?"

"Though we're different ages, we're also different species...in which case, we're both in later years."

Happy blinked. "Sure. Toss your tale to me."

I began my story, it was of course about me! My many years have allowed me to see a large portion of the world. I decided to tell the story of The Lizard of Longbow Lagoon.

About 5 decades ago, my owner and I went on a trip. This trip, would change my life! This is where I met the lizard of longbow lagoon! My person and I arrived in Longbow Lagoon for a holiday! Until this point, the only lizards I'd met were baby geckos at the pet store! My owner let me wander around for a while, so I decided to explore... The lagoon looked peaceful, and it was such a warm day, i decided to go for a paddle! Of course I can't swim, but my feet needed cooling, and my shell felt dry, so I walked around the shore. However the heat caused me to fall asleep! When I woke up, i was surrounded by water with no escape to land. I could feel it rising into my shell. I began to panic! Just as I thought it was the end, a powerful tailed lizard appeared! He lifted me onto his back and swam gracefully to dry land. He was the Lizard of Longbow Lagoon, and he saved me that day! Now this story may seem a little boring, but it shows how brave even old lizards can be! The Lizard of Longbow Lagoon was 20 years old! And he was the bravest lizard ever!

I finished my story with a happy look in my eyes. I remember it as if it were yesterday! That lizard was so brave! He saved my life! I looked over at Happy. "So you see, even if you're old, you can have fun! You just need to have courage!"

((Trinity, I'm pretty sure that counts as spam in the roleplay section. I'm glad you like the story, but if you're not in the roleplay, you're just adding useless posts thrown in among the story.))

Happy tried to imagine himself in a new home, but a shiver was sent down his spine. Though he'd never admit it...he'd miss his friends at the shop too much.

"Bah," he said, "I'm doing fine here. I'm fed, and I'm alive." He crawled under the log once more to sleep.

I giggled softly. Happy may seem rough but he's soft in there somewhere! I'm sure of it! My owner shut the lights off, so now its time to sleep

Nighttime in the pet shop sure was an experience. The parakeets occasionally squawked, the mice squeaked, the fishtanks let off their endless blubs.

There was rarely a quiet moment.

Happy had become accustomed to this. He liked it.

The shop owner had taken him to a reptile expo once...he slept in a large multipurpose center overnight. It was completely quiet. He didn't sleep a wink.

He loved the pet shop, and all the noises that it brought.

Krystal than swam inside her Sand Castle and then fell asleep to the sound of the parrots and birds chriping.. then it died down. Krystal woke up in the night to see if Happy was ok... she worried about him sometimes. It seemed all the animals were asleep. Sound asleep...

Happy was aware of Krystal watching him. He pretended to be asleep, not feeling very social.

Normally, he slept wonderfully in the pet shop...but the prospect of leaving it was troubling him.

The shop owner had paraded him off to a lot of customers lately...was he trying to sell him, and quick?

Krystal than spoke.. "Happy... are you scared, too?" Krystal stared at Happy and thought... I hope he doesn't get sold.. I won't have anyone anymore. She waited for Happy to answer her question...

Oh, drat! She realized that Happy was awake.

He turned his head toward her and replied, "No. I won't be sold. I'm staying here, and everybody knows it." He held his head high.

Krystal froze. "Are you sure....?" Krystal LOVED drama.. " Because after that incident our owner might want to sell you, if he didn't buisness would go down."
She than swam to the front of her tank and stared at Happy.
