P.S. Sorry about all the glitches lately but we have so much new and are also working hard on open chat. It needs to be PAWFECT before we re-introduce it. PLUS we have so much going on getting Camp Happy Heart ready to reopen. You may have heard about the storms in Missouri--that has slowed us down as
we had to help the trees at the camp grounds. They will be OK.

i miss open chat though. it was easier to ask if someone had a certain item for trade, or talking about who might be on the chloeshow next yanno?
people abuse their privilages. and now the ones who didnt abuse the rules have to pay for their actions.

they should have like Jr. CybearGuides able to say whatever they want bc they're trustworthy i guess you would say yanno?

yeah and like people asking people to merry them, that's so weird, my friend told me to come to her house for hers, it was sooo weird, but she does not go on BGF. And i barley ever see her on babv, but i don't know her is real life.

I am glad for not open chat until it is reinterduced but able to say words but not the words like wanna go out, and want to get merry? and stuff like that i didn't like it at all

also i dated on babv but when i saw other people do it i thought it was inappropriate because there are little kids under 8 years old on babv and they are showing them the wrong thing to do

most of us are guilty for something but there were people who only cussed and stuff.

I wish we had open chat so that we could talk better.
Like in trades, it will be much easier to trade if you tell that what you want.
Maybe they should have Cybearguides roam around buildabearville and give people warnings for those who use foul languages.. And if the people get too many warnings, they have to go back to instant safe chat.

I'm happy that open chat is down. While I loved the freedom, I hated the rudeness some people could come up with!! I think there were a lot of reports about people saying bad things so they finally just took it off.

I think that it is a good idea Bella. Open Chat is supposed 2 come back but they said Camp Happy Heart was postponing working on it.

Yes! While it has taken some time to get used to, I no longer miss Open Chat one bit and I feel much better about letting my son play the game knowing he won't encounter inappropriate things from other players!

Actually most of them members were older than 10 years old.

I Agree I Think Instant Chat Is Way Safer And Kid Friendly :3

Though it is safer, Buildabearville has probably drastically dropped in the amount of people that play.

i loved open chat. except, a girl was beaing really mean to me because i was bff with my friend. then she swore at me twice! but i miss open chat because i can't tell everyone who my friends are and like my real life sister.

I'm not going to lie. I dated, on babv, But, I know its wrong. My parents talked with me and how its Unsafe to date on babv, And i totally Agree. I stopped after that talk. Now when my Old, Babv Bf, said "I want us to be a little closer" I said no.


I was going to Email maxine about changing the "Love emoticon" and then, A couple weeks later it changed before i could email her. lol

i guess in ways it is not safe and it also teaches little kids bad things but if u dont give out any personal info and dont do anything bad in front of each other or other people on the site, its not really wrong

Awww, I like open chat but I have to agree with Kelsey, some people say bad stuff by improvising words to say some other stuff.
So it's probably for the best.
