Pet Shop Roleplay

"I'm a trophy." Happy said. "I'm a demonstration of what variety the shop has to offer. Why do you think he placed me so close to the window? No one sells their trophies."

But, Happy knew, it was probably just to advertise him. But, he didn't let Krystal know that.

"Trophy!?! For heavens sake you bit a womens arm!" Krystal swam in circles and started singing her theme song once again "JUST KEEP SWIMMING JUST KEE-"All the animals yelled "SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH"

Happy grunted in satisfaction.

"How many trophies do you own that can bite a woman's arm?"

Feeling victorious, he curled up and went back to bed.

HMPH! Krystal flipped her fin and went back to bed. The next morning nobody was walking in to the Pet Store.. it was very weird. Then a tiny boy came in and started looking at the spiders... then towards Krystal.

I awoke to hear Happy in the cage next to me, muttering unpleasantries about Krystal. "I beg your pardon!" I said, making him jump in surprise. "Come now, Happy! She's just a little one! I was like her once, always sticking my nose where it wasn't welcome. You must forgive her! She's young!" I paused as my owner placed a large lettuce leaf in the tank. "Oooh! Breakfast!"

Happy looked at the boy. Would Krystal be bought today? He was amused.

"Hey, Krystal," he teased, "he's eyeing you. Afraid?"

Krystals eyes widen.. the tiny boy started knocking on the glass "HERE FISHY FISHY." His dad then joined him." Hey dad I want this one!" Krystals eyes were like two mini donuts on a fish. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Krystal swam and hid behind the coral reef. The boy and his father went up to the register."I WANT THAT FISH! SHE'S PRETTY" The boy said. Krystal was afraid. very afraid.

I finished a mouthful of lettuce. "Happy!" I scolded. "Don't scare her! Would you like it if someone came in looking for an old lizard?!" At that moment, a large man with a bandana on his head and a grey goatee came in. He was wearing a leather jacket. "Someone like... him!" I squeaked.

Sallies owner than came over with a net.. "SALLY!" She swam and swam away from it. But finally caught her! She was then but inside a bag of water and the little boys father paid 10$ For her. Only it wasn't her.. it was a fish that looked simialar to her. She had been hiding behind the coral reef the whole time.

I watched as the young boy took the clownfish out of the store. But I knew it wasn't Krystal. My old eyes are still sharp, and i spotted her duck behind a coral reef. "Krystal? Are you ok?" I called

Button looked at the chaos, Happy was at it again. That grumpy, old lizard had almost lost a customer. Should I tell him about the plans of the owner, that I had overheard. I think the time had come. Tonight would be the time of truth. They had to know.

Animal Starfish

I wake up in my small carrying cage. It's quite roomy actually, and I'm used to it. This was my fourth time changing pet shops. It was a new experience, different friends, different people, different sights, different EVERYTHING!!
I had seen the world, at least, for a chinchilla.
I'm sitting in a car, the passenger's seat, and can hear a dull radio, and the humming of my new owner.
The car reaches a halt, and I get picked up. After some walking, we reach a glass door. The owner fiddles with the lock and key, and we enter the shop.
Ring play the chimes at the front of the door. I see some of the animals waking up. Dogs, cats, fishes, lizards, but no chinchilla?
The pet shop owner takes me out of my cage and props me in a big cage near a lizard and fish. He pats my head, and leaves to work.
"Hi! I'm Harppy!" I squeak, loud enough so most of the others can hear me.

Harppy, the addition had just joined. Our first chinchilla in 10 years. " Welcome to the Pet Shop, little guy, " I said, building a small smile. She seemed so excited. Aaah, this was going to get harder.

"Hi!" I scream, to a husky, near the lizard. I decided to ask the question. "Where are all the chinchillas? Am I...alone?" I gulp at the last word. Sometimes I got scared at night, and needed someone to calm me down.
I still wondered why the lizard and the fish didn't greet me. It's okay, they're probably still asleep!

" Yup, the one and only. Well, I hope you feel welcome. Most of them are sleeping right now. They'll greet you when they wake. Just sleep for a while, get some rest, " I said.

"Oh okay." I say, yawning. I was kind of car lagged. Travelling was not my piece of chinchilla food. But first, I decide to look around my cage. Beige and brown wood chips adorn the floor, and give the place a pleasant smell. On the side, there's a bottle type thing where I can drink water. There are stairs, and on the first floor is two bowls of my food. Last, there is a little swing and scratch pad which I can play with. I run downstairs, have a sip of water, and curl myself into a gray ball. Slowly...I drift off to sleep...

Animal: Sugar Glider
Personality: Playful, social, nocturnal, loves to climb, but she has a tendency to bite or scratch if you grab her suddenly.
Other: She adores cherries, but rarely gets them. The store owner will usually give her crickets, which she doesn't mind, but she leaves the legs behind. Ada will climb anything that holds still long enough, and can glide all the way across the store (if nothing gets in her way).

I saw a few animals gathered up together...
I ran up there and said:
"Hey, what's going on here?"
