Verdana is more wide. I like this font for the forum posts etc, but overall on the forum with the name of the sections, the homepage I guess etc, I prefer Trebuchet MS. I feel with Verdana and even Arial too, it makes things look more messy... and squished. Plus I wouldn't mind if the line-height was larger.

Which is easier on the eyes, or easier to read? The above, or what's below?
