Guide; Adding Pixel Lines Using Gimp. (:
So this guide is gonna tell you how to add pixel lines to an image [more than likely an icon] using the program Gimp. ;D
I don't think there's a guide on this, but I may be wrong.
Step 1.So first, open up the picture you want to use by going to File > Open and selecting your image.
For example, I'm going to use this icon:
Step 2.-Next, Click the Filters Button at the top of the screen.
Step 3.-Click the "Distorts" option.
Step 4.-Near the bottom, click the Video effect from the Distorts options.
A screen like this should come up:
Now you can select any of those options to use, but I like the 3x3 one the best.
Step 5.-Once you choose one, click OK.
-The image gets brighter than it was before, for some reason that's what the effect does to it.
-You can change the Brightness & Contrast of the image now to change the color if you want.
So, the final image should look something like this:
There are many different methods to making Pixel Lines, but this is the only one using Gimp, if you're using their tools and options.
