Zakumi is the Official Mascot for the 2010 FIFA World Cup! I've always been a huge fan of the World Cup!! FIFA World Cup is an international football competition held every 4 years. This year, it will be held for the first time in South Africa on June 11 to July 11!

Wonder why the mascot is named Zakumi? Here's an official word from FIFA: His name comes from "ZA", the international abbreviation for South Africa, and "kumi", a word that means "ten" in various African languages.

Zakumi is a leopard with green hair. His colours reflect those of South Africa's playing strip – yellow and green. To know more about Zakumi, check out fifa.com/zakumi

Zakumi looks nothing like the past Furry Friends therefore it looks just adorable in its own unique way. I can't help but love its hair and smile! Zakumi has quite a interesting history behind it.
