I don't think they won because Harry Potter series was about Harry potter who was in Gryfinndor and JKR focused basically on him.. I believe in later on in Hogwarts I believe other houses won the House Cup and stuff

Actually, no -- in no year when the cup was announced did any house other than Gryffindor win.

And Dumbledore doesn't like earwax -- he ate one, but he'd been under the impression that it was toffee.

So he was being sarcastic? D'oh.

I can't remember mention of it in the books.
