Dumbledore is a busy man. He knew Harry was safe, and that's all he needed to know until after 11 years. Let's not forget, that he's the headmaster of Hogwarts, he can't devote all his time to Harry.
And if Harry wasn't treated badly, and treated like Dudley, than wouldn't he also be spoiled and overweight? Rude and mean, just like Vernon and Dudley? (even though Dudley was sort of okay near the end) And, he wasn't treated that badly. Just sort of like Cinderella, dude version xD
If he wasn't treated badly, he wouldn't be Harry. He would be who he was.

Yup I agree. It would probably be a different Harry. What if he lived with Sirius or Lupin when he was growing up? Everything would change. Harry would know about magic, he probably be more confident, maybe be friends with Draco Malfoy. You never know!

And it wouldn't be right.

No surprising element in the story..
And it would be hard to begin the story as well.

LOL! DH part 1 is my favourite HP movie! I love it when Ginny and Harry kiss and George sneaks in. And he's all like "Morning" I can't describe it but that's on of my favourite parts. But I don't like how they skipped Luna's room.

I was very much looking forward to Luna's room That's what's bad about watching online. It's always slow. I had to wait a whole hour when I wanted to watch the Chamber of Secrets since my DVD player was broken. ><
