I heard about that too, it's actually a rumor. According to the Boston Post, it didn't switch yet. Everything's the same.

I just researched it cause as you may know already I love trying to figure things out but this is what I found:It is Sidereal Astrology. Astronomers use the Sidereal zodiac, and Eastern cultures use it also. Western astrology uses the Tropical zodiac. Your OLD sign (which really isn't) is your Western sign. These NEW signs (which have been around for several thousand years) are the Sidereal signs. Either is accurate and can be used. It is your choice on how you wish to label yourself. Astrologers have known about all this for years. It is nothing new.

It was my understanding that our old signs are our actual signs, as we were born under them. However, any recent births follow the new signs.

Because the new sign was a result in a shift in what stars you can see at what time or something.
