Actually, yeah, you can crack coconuts by throwing them at each other -- just climb a hill of coconuts to get some height added to it and throw with all your might; one or the other will crack right open.

I was thinking maybe watermelons? It has watermelon juice, hard outer, and good fruit. Though making a shelter might be hard, but it would be as hard as making it with a coconut. And their softer than coconuts, thus easier to open?

Nope, it'd make you even more thirstier. Well, if it were fresh water you still can't drink that, might still be contaminated.

And its not like you can make a fire to boil it. Unless you can make a fire out of rubbing watermelons or coconuts together O.o

Still need something good for making a shelter too. If your coconut or watermelon shelter collapsed on you, it would not be pleasant. xP

I don't think you could make a shelter out of watermelons and coconuts, when you break them open the shell would break, wouldn't it? What does everybody else think?

But the shell wouldn't break so much as crack -- it's left behind when you finish the milk and meat. Thus, you'd have nice pieces of shell ready for construction. And the wispy brown bits would provide good kindling for a fire.

Maybe with the broken shells? Is watermelon juice or coconut juice sticky? You could use it as glue

It's sticky, but I don't think sticky enough for a secure glue. It's sticky on your fingers after you eat it, yes.

Coconut milk isn't sticky enough to use as glue . . . I suppose that's the problem with an island made out of only one material. If there were coconut palms, then the sap and wood would be useful in construction.

Graham crackers might be cool, if they didn't get too soggy. It would make an awesome shelter. There's still the thing with the water too.

Nope, just the island. Then you can make it fresh water and you wouldn't have to worry about water.

I think I'd do jello too. Maybe you'd be able to walk across it somehow.
