Aliens or ghosts?

I'd rather meet an alien...humanoid or otherwise.

Ghost. A ghost is more likely to speak your language, so you'd have an easier time trying to communicate with it.

Both of them seem really neat, but I'd prefer not to meet either.

I do think it would be interesting, yeah, but it would be really scary. Like, you don't know their motives, and they're entirely new...

I think if I saw a ghost the last thing I would want to do is play chess. I think I'd ask questions.

But the question is, would an alien know how to play chess? It's an earth-based game, after all.

Probably. According to movies, their supposed to be smarter than us. If not, they'd probably get the hang of it pretty fast.

Maybe they'll be less intelligent.

Not saying they wouldn't be smart enough -- they're smart enough to make it to a different planet, after all -- just that they wouldn't have reason to know the rules.

Well you could always explain. Not a very difficult game. But they'd probably get the hang of it pretty quick, think of better moves than me. The last thing I would want is to play chess. I'd rather play like Clue or something

I would meet both if they were nice and friendly, on the other hand I would also be frightened! (If they were like secretly evil)

Yea, you can never be sure muffin! If they were like Casper the Friendly Ghost, I'd love to meet them:P
