How to Install Fonts - Updated, 2 Options

This tutorial will teach you how to install a font. I recommend you get your parent's permission if you want to install a font and make sure the site you are downloading the font from is safe. Having trouble picking a font? Click HERE.
How to Install Fonts - Option 1
1. Pick a font you like and click "download", I recommend dafont a good place to install a font. So after the font is downloaded, go to the place that you saved the file, it might be a zipped file. The file should look like this, or it could look like a stack of books that are greenish, blueish, purpleish coloured.
2. You can unzip the file, or extract it, but I'm not going to teach you how because I don't find that way as efficient. Double click the compressed (zipped) folder to open it.
3. If the font you downloaded just gives you the font and no compressed zipped folder, then START FROM THIS STEP. Now double click on the font icon, which looks like this:
4. You should now get a pop-up, showing your font, and click the "Install" button.
How to Install Fonts - Option 2
1. Look above and do Steps 1-2. Don't exit that window.
2. Go to Computer, then your Local Disc (C:), (if you don't see that then click any drive and try to look for the below) the then click the "Windows" folder, then click the "Fonts" folder, then take the your font in the zipped folder take the font file and drag it to the "Fonts" folder. If it says something about "only administrators can do this" click continue.

My problem is, the Install button doesnt appear when I download it. I do everything correctly...

Are you on step 4 with the pop-up showing the font? And it doesn't show the "install" button that I've circled? I just want to clarify:)

When you turn on your computer, do you have different accounts? Like you know how some people have different users, so you might have a user account and let's say one of your other family members might have a different account too?

No, its just me. I thought it would work when I uploaded GIMP but it didnt..

Wait, so did the font install successfully yet? And do you have a Windows, Mac.. etc?

Yes. I have windows. I'll try and get you a picture. Its like your photo for step 4 but doesnt have the Install button.

Go to "computer", then you should find something that's called "Local Disc (C:)", if it's not there, select one from "computer" and look for the folder.

Alright, I finally got it, but now when i open Photofiltre, then choose the font and type something then click Okay..
the text doesnt show up!! yes i already tried exiting out of photofiltre too
