Giving helpful reminders
Hey all!
We know that everyone cares for the forum very much and we appreciate your diligence in helping us remind those that are not following the rules!
However, recently this behavior has gotten a little out of control. For example, if someone has asked a member not to double post, no one else needs to. Just imagine that you're a brand new member and you make a mistake because you've never been on a forum site before and suddenly every member is telling you what you've done wrong over and over again. Not a very welcoming thing to do
Also, please do not post telling someone they have posted in the wrong section. Members cannot move their own posts! Once an Officer sees a post in the wrong place we can move it and let the member know. No need to post about it. I have been seeing a lot of posts where there are pages of replies but they are just posts telling the person they posted in the wrong place. This is very frustrating to the person who made the mistake.
Let's all remember that while it's okay to give a gentle reminder to someone, it's not okay to overload them or to tell them something they cannot fix.
Thanks!!

Thanks MamaNoodles! I know I have reminded people a lot like that. I don't mean to hurt their feelings or anything. But thank you so much for telling us, it does help us a lot to keep everybody happy on BGF.
