I think their changing to for the fruit monster to set a better example for childern that fruit is healthy and good. But I sure will miss that good old mr cookie monster but atleast kids may want to eat more fruit instead of junk food which i think is an improvement!

No, way! I can't believe it! I haven't watched Sesame Street for more than 6 years, and still, I'm sad! What happened to the simplicity and innate perfection of the Cookie Monster icon? The one that imitated kids' desires for sweets perfectly and gave explosions of giggles nationwide?

I know fruit is better and healthier, but still, how are little kids supposed to tell the difference?

I'm gonna miss the Cookie Monster, and I wasn't even a fan. So sad.

No i did't know that, they can't do that lots of kids love him! I loved to watch him eat the cookie with the letter of the day on it when i was little.

yea i know and im so upset! Its good to teach kids about eating healthy foods but to get rid of the whole concept of him? after he's been around since 1969! They should issue a brand new monster just for healthy foods. I love cookie monster and i love his song. Its cute!

i heard they were going to do that for one episode because they can't change someone they've had for a long time it's not right and last year we told my teacher that and she didn't believe us so she did some research and it said that it was only for one episode
