Yes iive heard of it I did the program in 5th grade and its D.A.R.E stands for Drug Abuse Resistence Education

yeah, typically if there is a D.A.R.E. group at the school you go to or in your community, they are the one that organize like red ribbon week (Drug awareness week) events and stuff

Oh, I remember those videos they'd show my class . . . they tended to leave me with the vauge feeling that I'd be cooler if I did drugs.

wow... that's sad, they're supposed to keep you from doing drugs, not make you think you'd be cooler.

yeah i did it my school had a sign to say you be drug free and i helped with red ribbon week activies when i was older for the little kids

I never did drugs, but there was the odd feeling that I wasn't cool enough for anyone to try peer pressure on me.

I did it in the 6th grade

I had it in 5th grade. We had these shirts and everything. It was really fun. They made us wear these red glasses that made you feel like you were intoxicated; and they made us walk on a straight line, throw a basketball, etc. I ended up hitting a teacher in the head with my basketball, cause those glasses make everything so blurry and stuff. We even had to do a lot of essays.

sounds tedious

well i haven't heard of that but i am part of the group TATU (teens against tabacco use) where we go around different schools and tell about the dangers of smoking and stuff like that and we also organize red ribbon week

We did something like that too! I always found those glasses fun
