More healthy foods? Empty More healthy foods?

Post by Luv Sun Jul 17, 2011 11:40 am

Being the healthnut I am, I think that BABV should have more healthy foods, to promote nutrition.

We have apples, and oranges...but where are the veggies? Most of the food items are cakes, cupcakes, holiday cookies...

I'd love to see some celery, or a tomato...

And a banana would be fun. Lol.

o: That's a cute idea! You should suggest that for this coming Easter. I'd totally hoard that item.

Remember all four food groups! We have oatmeal and a glass of milk to represent grains and dairy, but only the hard-to-find turkey leg for the meat group. More food in Bearville!

Ohhh.
I never get food items from the fountain when they're released, so I'm not surprised. I tried everyday to get the pink bubblegum, but never got it.

I think it would be cute to have blueberries ^-^

My point was more, there's more than I'd thought. Smoothies are good for you -- yogurt and fruit all blended together. But there's a distinct slant toward fruit and grains. I can get that there's a lot of sweet treats -- handouts for parties and the ice cream parlor will skew the results -- but we need more meat, dairy, and veggies. Even soy milk, for a vegan option, would be an improvement.

I think the cakes and ice creams are cute, though, and I really wouldn't mind more of them.

Soy milk is a good idea ^-^

Molly - most smoothies nowadays are loaded with sugars. Even yogurts contain a lot of sugar.

I'll agree to the meat, even being a vegan. It's not like it's real meat, it's virtual - and variety would make a lot of people happy. I don't feel like it's promotion of meat over vegan options, lol.

But the presence of soymilk would be awesome.

I think most of it is candy and stuff because you can be more creative with it.

Yep! I have full respect for vegans, as long as they accept it's a personal choice -- and having to feed my wolf nothing but apples makes me feel like the types who try to convert their cats and dogs to vegan diets. Humans are omnivores, and can get along without meat just fine, but the same isn't the case for canines and felines.

I know smoothies aren't perfect, but they're still better for you than another slice of cake.

Molly, there are healthy cake recipe options, too. More healthy foods? Icon_razz Of course, they're incredibly rare compared to unhealthy cakes.
