How do you calm your nerves?

How do you calm yourself down when you're really nervous? Like, is there something special that you do? (For instance, counting back from 10,etc)

I try going somewhere quiet and meditating.

I don't know how to meditate.
But I close my eyes, think of my mom, dad, dog. Drink water, eat chocolate.

Are you asking for the interview? Need some ways to calm down?

Think positive, think that theres nothing to be nervous about, just calm myself down by thinking positive.

Well, if you don't know how to meditate, just go somewhere quiet and focus on taking deep, even breaths.

Is that all meditation is? Just concentrating O.o

I don't have a really special technique. All I do is think to myself "after I'm done doing this (whatever you're nervous for) I won't have to do it again and it'll be over with." It works for me

I drink water and think positive like everyone said in the above ^___^ I also try to nap if possible

No, I'm asking because i'm going to an amusement park Monday and there's this new roller coaster and i'm really nervous about going on it :x
But i'll be needing ways to calm down to help with the interview too lol.

And to calm with nerves, if I'm performing I take deep breaths and think positive. If there's people on stage with you it's not that bad, you share the nerves too. So people will also be scared on the rollercoaster too, everyone screams, regardless if they're scared or not. It's fun to scream!

I'm not good at lying to myself.

I don't calm my nerves very often.
Well.. I just stop talking. And ignore everyone.
Unless I'm at school.. then I only listen to the teacher.
That works.

Sometimes I have panic attacks.... So I draw to get my mind off of it ;3

i do the negative thing freak outt

I watch my birds preen

When I'm nervous, I go outside and dribble a basketball. It helps me think for some reason.
But I'm in frustrated or feeling some emotion, I listen to music

Music helps me too. Gets my mind off of things.

Music distracts you, like you can dance to it or sing to it. Haha

And when all else fails, my anti-anxiety medication.

. . . I get bad attacks sometimes.

I listen to music, it really calms me down and also playing on computer or watching tv.
